R L Murphey Commercial Roof Systems was established in 2002 by Rick and Sally Murphey as a full service single-ply roofing company. Their vision was to partner with the leading single-ply roof manufacturers and provide a high quality installation to offer a superior end-product to their clients. Twenty years later, R L Murphey is one of the leading single-ply applicators in the industry, certified by Carlisle SynTec, Elevate, GAF Materials Corporation, GenFlex Roofing Systems, Johns Manville Roofing Systems, Sika Sarnafil and Versico.

Since the very first project, R L Murphey has consistently earned the highest quality installation ratings from these manufacturers. Awards include Carlisle’s ESP (Excellence in Single Ply) for sixteen consecutive years, GAF’s Master Select Contractor award for eight consecutive years as well as GAF’s prestigious President’s Club Award for 2020. In addition, the company has earned many distinctions with Johns Manville Roofing including their Pinnacle Council Award 2011, 2013-2020 and the 5280 Council in 2017 & 2019 and Summit Club status in 2009, 2010 and 2021. In order to maintain these excellent installation ratings R L Murphey employees receive ongoing manufacturer product training as well as regularly scheduled safety training and all appropriate certifications.
